    Not only does the Chamber act as an advocate for local business, it facilitates opportunities for member businesses to promote themselves locally and regionally, do business with one another, enjoy savings and value through benefit programs, and gain knowledge through dozens of events and seminars each year.     Through the course of each year the Chamber runs many events for the benefit of our members. These events range from networking events like our quarterly speed networking events, monthly Business After Five events, Business between Business networking groups and annual Past President's Golf Tournament; annual Mayor's State of the City Address, annual Summit event, assorted seminars & special speaker events to recognition events like the Business Achievement Awards gala.

    Board of Directors

    Chamber volunteers and staff are guided in their day-to day activities by the Chamber's statement of Mission and Goals. Our Board of Directors and Executive Committee are charged with overall responsibility for the Chamber's strategic direction and policy. View Board of Directors.

    The Strategic Plan renews our commitment to provide an excellent standard of service and programs designed to continuously meet the needs of our members.

    This is an adaptive, non-static document subject to change with new and or additional input. The plan is not a stand-alone document. It is designed to work in conjunction with each year's business plans.

    Accreditation

    Accreditation is a formal acknowledgement that member chambers of commerce/boards of trade have been successfully evaluated by the CACC against rigourous national standards of policy, service, and performance. Technically, accreditation is granted to individual applicant chambers of commerce/boards of trade who demonstrate they meet all the eligibility requirements set out by the CACC in its checklist for accreditation and the accreditation application.
