• On October 24th, Londoners elected a new Mayor and on January 17, 2023, Josh Morgan will give his very first State of the City Address. Don't miss your chance to attend the 2023 State of the City Address and hear from our new mayor, Josh Morgan, as he discusses the outlook for the City of London this coming year. Highlights of the address typically include economic forecasts, news about job creation and growth as well as the strategic direction that is being taken by Council.

    Join us to hear what the NEW Mayor and Council hope to accomplish over the coming year.

    The Chamber's State of the City Address is held annually and is a one-of-a-kind event to mark the beginning of a new year. It sets the tone for both Mayor and Council as they set out to tackle the important issues that face our municipality. It has become a must-attend event for the London business community drawing an attendance of over 1200 people.

    The Mayor's speech will be followed by a fireside chat where the Mayor will be answering questions from the media.

    Shania John, an Economist within Deloitte's Advisory practice, will be providing an economic outlook update.

  • Shania John  - Deloitte

    Shania John will be providing an economic outlook update. Shania is an Economist within Deloitte’s Economic Advisory practice, based in Toronto. She is an experienced professional with a background in Econometrics (Applied Economics) and over five (5) years of experience in the field of Economics.


    Prior to joining Deloitte, Shania’s experience includes foreign policy work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Commonwealth of Dominica. At the firm, Shania has worked on various economic projects relative to government and public services including education, health, housing and and infrastructure, as well as consumer industries and forecast development.
